A Study on the Design of an Indirect Adaptive Pole Placement Controller

Abstract
In this paper, an indirect adaptive pole placement controller for an unknown linear time-invariant single-input single-output nonminimum phase plant is proposed.
To estimate the parameter vectors and state vector, an adaptive observer is incorporated into this indirect adaptive pole placement controller. This adaptive observer based upon this indirect exponentially weighted least-squres algorithm is implemented.
A series of simulations for a nonminimum phase plant is presented to illustrate some freatures of the output response of this adaptive pole placement controller.
